Welcome To FVFC Preschool

Our Statement

’Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.’ (The Holy Bible)
We place high emphasis on Christian values and teachings such as care and concern for others, obedience, respect etc. The pre-school nativity is held in conjunction with Messy Church. All children are welcome irrespective of faith and you do not have to go to church in order to attend.

Our Aims

  • We provide a stimulating, fun, and caring environment, where we believe all children can reach their full potential. We work together with you to ensure that they are happy and that they feel safe, secure and valued.

  • We aim to create an environment within which your child will learn to respect and care for themselves, others and their environment.

  • We offer an exciting, balanced curriculum which will enable all children to develop the social, emotional, physical, communication and cognitive skills necessary for school.

  • Through play, we aim to help children build their self-confidence and promote development by providing activities which will allow them to explore, extend their thinking, make decisions and develop independence.

  • We work closely with the relevant First Schools to ensure a smooth transition for your child.

Our Fees

Fees are £4.00 per hour. Your child will be entitled to receive up to 15 hours government funding the term after they turn 3. We are unable to waive fees for absences due to holidays or sickness. We are a registered non-profit making charity and aim to keep our prices as reasonable as possible while still being able to provide quality staffing and resources. We ask for a £5.00 non-refundable deposit should you wish to reserve a place and are new to the pre-school. We do not ask for any top-up fees (just one piece of fruit to share at snack time!) Further information is in our ‘Fees and Funding’ Policy

Opening Times

Monday – Friday:

AM 9.00 – 12.00
PM 12.00 – 3.00
ALL DAY 9.00 – 3.00

Policies, Safety & Reassurance

Safety & Reassurance

  • Our excellent staff team all hold clear Criminal Bureau Record check certificates and are fully aware of and adhere to our policies and procedures for child safety and child protection.

  • The majority of us are mothers who understand the emotions and situations parents and children face.

  • We ensure that we either meet or exceed the required child to staff ratios at all times.

  • We update our own professional knowledge and understanding with regular recognised training courses, visits to other settings and regular in-house training and discussions.

  • We are all highly experienced and dedicated to working with young children.

  • We have a very high staff retention level which enables us to know and use each staff member’s strengths to their full ability, thus providing superb learning opportunities for children.
